SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is a best-in-class SaaS solution that combines all the analytics functionalities (Planning, Predictive, Business Intelligence and more coming soon such as Governance Risk and Compliance – GRC) in one intuitive user interface, saving time and effort while making better decisions.
SAP Analytics Cloud is a new tool in the SAP portfolio to meet the needs of data visualization in the cloud. It is delivered as an all-in-one, SaaS-based product. It covers the needs of data visualization, budget planning, and predictive analytics.
SAP Analytics Cloud allows data to be obtained through two methods:
Direct read from the database / ERP. In the case of an import, the data source can be a file, an SAP system, an OData service or an SQL database.
In the case of a direct read, refreshed real-time data is captured, only by connecting to an SAP system (HANA, BW, BPC or other).
This allows data preparation with additional features such as adding indicators, inserting formulas as well as modifying values of recovered characteristics.
This feature allows you to explore and highlight your data with graphs, tables or any other graphical components.

SAP Lumira (formerly called SAP Visual Intelligence) is a self-service, data visualization application for business users.
SAP Lumira grew out of SAP Business Explorer, the company’s previous, but more basic, self-service data visualization tool. According to SAP, the two are meant to go hand-in-hand. For example, analysts using SAP Lumira can alter data structures and correlations in whatever way they want, without the help of their IT department, then push the data back into the system so it can then be consumed by more casual users in tools like Business Explorer.
Internally code named Project Orca, SAC was formerly known as SAP Cloud for Planning, SAP Cloud for Analytics and SAP Business Objects Cloud.
